In 1982, the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired 8.5 acres of land in Tampa and built a Seminole village on that land. Paul went to work helping to build that village under the chairman of the tribe, who at the time was James E. Billie. After the village was built, there was only one job opening and it was Alligator wrestling. With no other prospects in sight, he eagerly took the job and was taught by James Billie how to do just that. Along with that job he also had to learn how and do venomous snake shows. Paul worked there until about 1987. At that time, the tribe was trying to reopen its original tourist village in Hollywood Fl. and asked him to come and wrestle there. He accepted the job and arrived there to find that this was deep water alligator wrestling and had to learn new skills.

After the tribe decided to close that village due to future plans, Paul went across the street to the Native Village which was owned by Bobbie Lou Billie. He joined the manager of the place and former mentor Skeet Johns in 1989, until he left in 1992. At that time, he was asked by James Billie to join him in building and operating the Billie Swamp Safari. Duties there included alligator wrestling, snake handler, and tour guide. At this time, Paul is semi-retired from alligator wrestling but still continues to be employed with Seminole tribe of Fl.
